REGEN® Retail has greatly impacted many estheticians' businesses and lives. GlyMed's Account Manager Melissa Shippen knows its importance in the esthetics industry, and so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to interview and ask her all about REGEN Retail.
A. I started with GlyMed Plus in June of 2000. Before that, I worked for a recruitment company relocating to Salt Lake. The Account Manager position at GlyMed Plus was a position we were looking to help hire for; I applied and have been at GlyMed ever since. I knew nothing of esthetics before GlyMed. There was no licensure for estheticians until 2001. I grandfathered in through GlyMed Plus.

We offer weekly webinars for our accounts and recorded webinars with tips on making your store successful.
A. Results come from home care products. Treatments are a vital part of achieving results in the clinic, but home care is crucial. Results are only truly attainable by home care and treatments together. Educating clients on the importance of home care will allow consumers to see the value in retail products, and once they see the results in the skin, they will be hooked on exceptional products.
A. Work towards building lifetime loyal clients. This means these clients come to you for all their skincare needs, questions, and services. You have a trusting relationship with them. You both value each other. When creating your business practices, make sure you think of the future. You might only have a few clients right now, but when you are fully booked, are you still able to operate how you are now? Set boundaries now and enforce them.
